Virg Lauded on Salon

Glenn Greenwald, writer for Salon.com, noticed Mayor Bernero's interview on Fox News:
The glaring discrepancy he notes -- between (a) the consensus of our political class that workers must endlessly give up wage, health and other benefits even as (b) we shovel trillions of dollars in government subsidies to Wall Street for ongoing massive executive bonuses and the like for the very people who caused the collapse -- is one that (whether you agree or disagree with it) is rarely heard in our mainstream debate with such clarity and passion.
Yep, Greenwald notices the same qualities about Virg that I do:  articulate, passionate, and, most importantly, right.  Here's the interview in question:

Just one of many interviews I'll be posting here at Draft Virg.  He's making a name for himself, at a time when we need him.

Draft Virg Bernero for Governor in 2010

Mayor Virg Bernero has been on the TV a lot lately.

He has been advocating for the people of Michigan, the working people.  He has pointed out the obvious fallacies in the way Washington and Wall Street view the Big Three.  He has spoken up for health care, for pensions, and for all of the things made the middle class.

He does so with an eloquence and a passion.   He refuses to back down.  He refuses to give an inch, not when that means giving up on the middle class of Michigan.  As Mayor of Lansing, Bernero has been a solid progressive, and tireless advocate of the working people.

Mayor Bernero is the perfect candidate for Governor of Michigan in 2010, both due to his qualifications and his electability.  I'll delve into why he makes sense for Michigan later, of course.  This is the beginning of a long process, but I am hopeful that it will end with this working-class hero, Virg Bernero, in the Governor's Mansion.
